This Spring  Toronto-based designer Miik Inc. has introduced a new luxury fabric, called micro modal, for their Canadian-produced clothing line. Modal is synonymous with luxury fabrics such as linen and silk, but is much easier to care for. This 2014 Spring season they now produce their range of elegant and comfortable clothes using the new micro modal fabric as well as the classic bamboo for which they are already well known. The company says  modal is light and airy, inspiring soft, flowing designs that fall away from the body – perfect for those hot summer days.

You will love it because the fabric is ultra-soft and airy. In fact, on those hot and humid summer days to come, the air  humidity keeps you virtually wrinkle-free, leaving you feeling comfortable and looking great. This makes the micro modal clothes perfect for travelling. There is a fabulous range of new colours including tangerine, mulberry, citrus, navy and ocean blue. All are specially made to stay bright and bold even after numerous washes. Simply machine wash in cold water on the delicate cycle and lay flat or hang to dry to keep it looking good.

Miik Inc. has been renowned for eco-friendly production of their designer clothes. The production process of modal is completely eco-friendly and involves self-propagating beachwood trees and symbiotically produced pulp and fibers. The fabric is treated in a hermetic container where 100% of the chemicals that are used are trapped and contained, not released into our factory, environment or atmosphere.

Bijou Boutique is pleased to have a full range of Miik tops, jackets, dress and pants featuring this great new fabric available in the store. See our Miik portfolio page here.
